Gone

by Allie   Mar 19, 2017

She's gone like yesterday's rain.
Gone like the hurt of today.
The painful reminders of her past.

She's gone with her thoughts and the cold of her heart. No longer caring about feeling or anyone else's existence.

She's gone with demons to the pitch black part of her mind and drowning in the shallows. She's not coming up for air as they have her by the ankles.

Her body slowly floats to the surface, blue and cold. Her eyes are foggy as they have drained her of her life. Her soul will forever stay in the shallows. Floating with her demons.

She's drowned in her sorrows, her tears drop like falling glass as they are meaningless now. Her demons are the only thing that kept her safe.

She will forever be known as the girl who gave up herself for the only thing that kept her sane.. but at the same time made her go insane.

This girl is gone. Forever etched in your memory as the girl who always cared.. she won't be returning for it's to  much pain. Her demons will forever keep her company.

    Allie,

As dark as this poem is, it's very well written and kept me reading until the end.

    Well done,

    Ben
