Epilogue

by Aegis   Mar 22, 2017

Can you hear the deadly song I sing,
as it pierces the clouds and frost?
Can you hear the dripping sarcasm,
telling of all I've lost?

Listen to the shadows weep,
hear the wolves' lonely cries.
Feel the misery in their tales,
fear the darkness in their eyes.

Tortured screams escape my mind;
can you hear the bloody yells?
Death is such a welcome friend,
but dead men tell no tales.

Life is such a heavy price to pay-
death is not, it's cost is free.
I've been wandering for far too long,
lost within what's lost in me.
