A Woman Scorned:

by Scott Cole   May 1, 2017

Misery has no company
Tonight she's all alone,
No one in her dining room
Or no one on her phone.

With torment on her hands
And despair in her heart,
Misery has no company
Especially a sweetheart.

With anguish in her eyes
And misfortune in the air,
Misery has no company
And I don't think that's fair.

With gloom in her heart
And suffering on her face,
Misery has no company
Of which she can embrace.

With hardship at her back
And havoc on her life,
Misery has no company
Another broken wife.

With sorrow in her voice
And disgrace on her mind,
Misery has no company
To help her to unwind.
