God's Loving Grace

by Sherry Lynn   Jul 9, 2004

Sitting in a corner,
In the cold stone dark,
Crying aloud with a broken heart,
Feeling lost and confused,
Wondering were to go,
Trying to make it through this world
all on my own.

That’s when the gates
Of heaven opened up,
God called allowed
“My child stand up”
“Accept my Son and you shall see”
“What the Prince of Peace truly means!”

God can be your rock,
God can be your stone,
God can be the one that saves your soul,
God can be the one to heal your pain,
God can be the one, to wipe your tears away!

I fell to my knees,
And on my face,
That was the day I chose God’s loving grace
Since that moment my life has changed,
Now I sing praise upon God’s name.

God became my rock,
God became my stone,
God was the one that saved my soul,
God is the one who heals my pain
God is the one who wipes my tears away!

Thank You Charlene, the way I feel is that we should never be ashamed to give credit to God. Just remember no matter what, He always loves us!

    Nice poem.
I like the fact that you have no shame posting that. I have written a few faith poems. But yeah. I guess I shouldn't be ashamed of it. I'm not but I'm glad you had so much guts to post that poem.
