hymn

1

laid across floors that bind
i can still see her in my reflection,
swinging from light to dark
in the narrow ridges of my peripheral.
she stays. asking for more. asking,
for tomorrows that never bloom,
or prosper into todays, because we always
swing into the nether.

2

she wasn't always in my mirror
where her reflection stayed only as close
as my eyes allowed me to view.
we use to be seperate
looking at our own views and lives
as we mingled eachother together.
where once in a day you could see her smirk
she was still satisfied, staying in place
where my eyes kept her reflection
unscathed and unbroken in my retinas.
there were no questions,
we knew why she lived in my pupil.

3

dilated now, soaking without her essence
just wanting the light again to view her shape
her form her body. i asked a god to show me
but nobody answered, i was left with shakes
and varations of tomorrow, because right now
she escaped my peripheral into a darkness.
the love no longer exists, she no longer exists
but my eyes still stark the midnight strings
where i play a symphony of words,
and hopefully i hear her hymn one more time.
