I remeber just like it was yesterday
when i used to come over your house and play

i would sit in your living room watching TV.
talking about school and whats good with me

you were always fun to be around
you barely ever made me frown

your smile, your grace, the presence of your face

you went to church like everyone else
and always tried to make things better for yourself

but now i just sit here and mourn
for you are not with me, you are gone

i remember when they told me that night
i was afraid and put in a state of fright

i cried my self to sleep
i want you to know i will forever weep

i know you are watching down on me
smiling , knowing i make you happy!
