My dilemma (2)

by Professor Leskinen   Jan 2, 2018

In my cave, there is no place for people
It's cold, it's dark, and there's noone but me
Rose still in hand, I'm standing in front of the abyss
The wound bleeding me out slowly, I'm thinking

And another person comes in

She seems to be used in the cold and dark
-I flinch at first, but then run towards her-
She smiles and takes the rose from my hand
She explains that not all flowers have spikes

Holding hands, we exit the cave
The heat might be great, but only for a bit
The light might be great, but only for a bit
Some kids might laugh, but that's okay, for i have a friend

And thanks to her
A flower will also bloom in me
