Move your wings

by Professor Leskinen   Apr 10, 2018

When you think the times are getting worse
And the days get shorter, and the nights grow longer
When the light you see is slowly fading away
Just move your wings

When you feel empty and dishonored
Shamed, angered, sad, desperate
When there's no hope to hold on to
Just move your wings

When everyone else abandones you
Denies you, hates you, blames you for their own mistakes
When the entire world turns agains you
Just move your wings

Don't drop to the darkness, don't lose your stepping
Don't cry, don't harm yourself, don't lose your goal
And even if you feel like things will never be the same again
Stand up, face forward and move your wings

Just move your wings
Fly, to where the heart might call you, towards your deepest desires
Just move your wings, little butterfly
And change the world with me

Because with the slightest change, even with a small and happy one, the world becomes a happier place to live in.

Thank you for reminding me 'to move my wings' for this to me makes me believe each of us have wings to be able to grow I have confidence etc etc and we are all pretty perfect in our own ways even though we make mistakes because afterall we're all human though some of us breech that piece of knowledge and unfortunately use it to their advantage and indeed end up taking advantage. Hope my comment make sense and I truly believe this is acknowledged for the superb piece it is... I'd like to nominate but I'm all out
