I see you in the sun

I’ve never seen you in the moon;
But I always see you in the sun.
You see;
the sun shines just about as bright as your smile does,
And it always paints me in the golden energy that you always have.
I see the drive and determination of you in it;
The way it never fails to rise each and everyday no matter what’s going on in the world.
The fire around it keeps me warm;
And on my darkest days it’s the light that breaks through the cracks in my bedroom window blinds-
Always reminding me that everyday has something beautiful in it,
Even if sometimes the only beautiful thing I can find about the world
Is you.
I’ve never seen you in the moon;
It’s surrounded by way too much darkness for my liking.
But I’ve always seen you in the sun.
