International Women’s day

by KAZ ISHMAEL   Mar 9, 2018

I wake up this morning
And saw my sweetheart in the kitchen
She has been up very early
Doing her housework and cooking

She's a good mother and wife
And I just stood there in silence looking at her
Thinking how much she has sacrificed
In the years that we've spent together

Some days were diamonds
And some days were black as coal
And when God made her in heaven
He destroyed the last mold

I ordered some flowers for her today
From a flower shop online
I wanted it to deliver this morning
And it arrived just in time

She was always a woman of very simple means
She was never a " material girl."
Instead of indulging in super facial things
She was more concern about the injustice around the world

When she got the flowers
She looks at me and smiled
I knew she loves red roses
she loves roses since she was a child

Then she told me its " international women's day."
And she's proud of women's accomplishments
From the women planting rice in the fields
To the powerful head of states and governments."

Every year since 1909
Women day began to be celebrated
In fact, women have always been the power behind men
ever since Adam and Eve were create

They are mothers, daughters, and sisters
They are the strength behind every good man
They bring hopes of happiness, joy, and laughter
women are the pillars of an everlasting foundation

International Women’s Day is a time;
when the world stands still
to reflect on the progress, that woman has made in their countries and communities

and to celebrate the acts of courage and determination
by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role throughout our history

Women have been fighting for gender equality since the 1900s
And now its recognized each year on March 8th
it's when the achievements of women
from political to social, women from all aspects of life are celebrated

Tonight, we are going out for dinner
It's just to show how much I appreciate her
And then we will walk under the moonlight
And take a ferry ride on the Hudson River

Respecting, honoring and cherishing a woman
Is the duty of all men everywhere
And not only for " International women's day."
It's a duty we must perform every day Of The year
