it's been 283 days
since I heard your voice
you said 'the most important thing is...
that you know i love you'
and that was it
I don't think you'd have thought
that was the last thing
you'd say in this life
but it was and I hold onto it
because there are days I can hardly function
but i know you'd want me to
and so i continue

it's been 283 days
since I saw your smiling face
and heard your laughter
as we talked about our future
I don't think you'd have thought
you would fade away
12 days before we saw each other again
time stopped when I got the call
Emotions raw and painful
As everything flooded me
I dropped to my knees
Screaming -HOW CAN THIS BE-

it's been 277 days.. since your funeral
since I saw you placed in the ground
words can't describe my feelings
when i saw your urn in hand
but goodbyes are needed....
even if they hurt
I'll love you forever
my one and only....
mine... forever
