There’s moments you feel like crying
Needing help, yet, you don’t know how to express yourself.
Is it hard to speak out loud?
Tell your loved ones you need help.

Is it hard to let it out?
Your stuck in a prison chained to the wall,
No chance to escape
Is that what you want?

To be chained in your mind,
Listening to the demons inside your head,
Filling you with dark thought
That is only about you.

Thoughts of being compared to someone else
Thoughts of the imperfections you have,
The mistakes you’ve made,
Your looks.

Your stuck in a shell,
Your shell is your mind.
It is too dark with no way out.
There is no light in that small shell.

Is it hard maintaining a smiling mask hour after hour all day?
Staying up nightly and crying to bed,
To finally sleep and end the pain,
But even in dreams do nightmares appear.

There is no space for you to breath.
There is no space for you to be who you truly are
Because there are people always judging you
Constantly watching for your mistakes.

When can the demons leave your own mind?
So when can you be who you really are?
When can you finally be in peace?
When can the judging stop?
