Everywhere

by Hope   Jan 16, 2019

I see you everywhere...

I miss you in the fall of Winter,
I hear you in every whisper....,

by every call of the sky,
running wild with wolves,
I could only play the fool,
the call of the moon,
I'll see you soon again....

Godspeed of everything,
I see you in the fall of Spring....,

on step forward,
two steps backward,
why?

create the last dance of Autumn,
cause all I can do is hit rock bottom,

where are you?
you fall in every shade of blue...
in every shade of the blue sky;
by my eye...

In every burden of Fall,
I lose it all....

cause I've been there...

Poems that move through the seasons are possibly one of my favourites. I like the imagery they/ you've created. There is a nice use of illiteration in the 'wild with wolves'. I like too, the structure - I find this type of format helps dictate to the reader how it should be read - also, it looks neat too!

Life is about moving forward toward our personal goals. Moving 2 steps forward and then one back again is common. This poem says much and yet leaves the reader wanting more. I like that in a poem, helping them to think beyond the words.

    Nice work.
