Harrowing Seduction

by Renegade Angel   Apr 9, 2019

Scents of rain and orchids seduce my willful body into the tepid waters.

The mist coats the hair that stains my brow.
Water is a loving embrace that submerges the haunts of my mind.

The orchids sing so sweetly to my silent tears. Doors are locked, giving me peace that my soul craves.

As I slip into the world of the unknown, my tempestuous, ugly nature is not relected.

No more loss.

No more exhaustion.

The orchids sweetly lay me down to rest in this aquatic haven.

I love how this read and (forgive me because I'm trying to put my finger on it) how this reminded me of a fantasy background and almost an intimacy with nature. There's a sense of exhilaration in the unknown, and your adjectives and flowery way in which you wrote added to the breathlessness of this.... how it felt ethereal and peaceful. An exit from a material world and an entrance into what the soul needs, rest and a place without self-criticism.

This was so appealing to me and interesting to read. Thanks for sharing!
