Desire to escape

by DarkLight   May 2, 2019

I sit alone, in the desert of my mind,
there is not peace but I love the silence.
In this oceanic of dusty memories, I hide,
As my sorrowful soul watch from a distance.

I who live among my own regrets, found home,
Not where my heart is, with the storm
a cottage where untamed emotions come
only to move with the waves.

Where my desires for you crystallized to unstable diamond.
Cold, yet enough to warm your smile with lies.
Your blindness is advantageous, you never have to see me cry over you.

Some bleak but powerful imagery, Shanky.

    Well done.
