Mistress Of The Nightsky:

by Scott Cole   Jun 3, 2019

If your eyes should gaze upon
A beauty such as she,
Fair mistress of the nightsky
So flattering to see.

Relinquish your heartstrings
All pleasure seekers afar,
She's best amongst a billion
Preferred over all the stars.

All are at her beckon call
Those of them that search,
To fill their lacking hearts
And satisfy it's urge.

For her illuminating draw
Can leave you wanting more,
Keeping you fixated
To what she has in store.

So dare you look away
She's a treasure to behold,
A sight for sore eyes
That sparkles just like gold.

But your damsel in distress
Is handcuffed to the night,
Imprisoned by darkness
A nocturnal delight.

So dawn is the deadline
To pluck her from the sky,
And claim her for yourself
Before the time does fly.

But all that is absent
Makes the heart grow fond,
So if you miss her calling
There's still a chance to bond.

So rest your weary eyes
Cause she still waits for you,
Just beyond the horizon
Until her next little rendezvous.
