rotter pushing back

by patrick   Jul 7, 2019

there be times I would like to dig up their rotting bones
the head of rotter’s row!
seeks you out, I shout silently
memories are the way we used to be

I do declare!
take an ordinary day and make it better
yesterday when I was young
I took on the dark blank spaces that held me captive [dyslexia]
as comprehension dawned
I won the battle

this is now
this is me
