Our times; what a gem

by patrick   Sep 11, 2019

precious memories
oh! how they linger toughing my soul
my mother’s loving council
my father’s guidance, still echoes in my mind
they will never grow old in my memories
today I am older than they were when they died
this life is like a bittersweet layer cake
savoring each chapter as it unfolds
thankful for each opportunity this life presents
it’s such a privilege to witness the next generation shine
dooms day soothsayers there will always be
reality is such that our lives are blessed far greater than ever before
the collective knowing of our world
tucked safely in my pocket, just a tough pad away
