Hurricane Poem

by Kryptonite Dreamer   Nov 16, 2019

So this is it?
The way to avoid it?
I can feel the winds whipping around us,
The howls of it so loud,
Its piercing our ears to where we can't hear,
The fact that you took me to that place,
The place you see as calm,
But I remember what happened,
I remember the secrets we hid here,
The fact that he would always beat you,
So bad to where I would always fight for you,
As I watched our blood spill on his canvas,
We would scream for him to stop,
You knew who would come out,
As I wasn't the same person when he came,
When he came out he saved us,
I remember that you had to take me away,
Take me away from him,
Silence him,
Put him into the eye,
And have it be you and I out here,
In the walls,
So they have no chance of finding us,
But somehow you know he'll find me,
He'll find me and kill me,
And then both of us cant protect you,
From the world,
From him,
From what he can do for me,
So you'd rather us be drenched,
And have the wind batter me,
So he can't find me,
But I'd rather be found,
I'd rather protect you,
And be that person who saves you
