Neighbours of Pain

by BOB GALLO   Mar 30, 2020

Let me embrace your pains
you, my brothers and sisters.
Allow me to
caress your hearts
my dear, neighbours of pain,
who sell your soul for a little gain
who sell
your body for little pleasure,
your pleasure
for a little illusion
in
the comfort of love.

I know your lost
is from desperation
of your hearts,
from longing
for the things that have been left in the hallow haze
of being at odds
with the world
of being without a little cuddle
of relief
of a real meaning.

When you fall off the horse
and never able to get back on.
when you and your heart
side by side
facing one another
from the other end of the world.
where nothing could be farther
than to reach out to one who is standing beside you.

I know you: the desperation of desires!
I recognize me in broken mirrors of you
I can distinguish the fire
that cannot extinguish
the rages of its passion,
the flame
of feeling beneath
the cold ashes
when the world burned every compassion.

You
my dear neighbours of pain.
you injected the needles of your pains
in to the heart
of God!

You
my dear neighbour
brothers and sisters
of
pain.
