Thank you Rania, and thanks for posting your inspirational poetry.
I love that you say my poem is like fresh air. I want, more than anything, to achieve exactly that. To touch the heart, mind and spirit. Not necessarily as the great writers do, with an arrow that cuts or wave that bowls you over in breathless wonder - but perhaps as a feather landing on your lawn just before sleep drags you off the bed.

Woah, blown away by this piece and your talent and lyricism! I looked up Erroll Garner and listened to him while reading this. I didn't even know who he was, so thank you for that. Quite enchanting.

Your voice is strong in this, and the specifics make this poem even more unique and "you".

My favorite part about this piece is your differentiation between "dust" and "sand", and how you incorporate that. The often biblical notion of returning to dust, back to ashes we came from, and here, the symbol of the sand. The way it travels, is infinite. There's hope in this, a romance that could possibly blossom, a heart open to give love and be loved.

Please keep sharing! A warm welcome to the site :)

Hi, thank you so much for your comments and for taking the time to read. I sincerely appreciate what you have said.
I look forward to reading your poetry and to start navigating my way around this site - I’m a bit of a technophobe anyway, these things take me twice as long ????.
Because of your encouragement and lovely comment I will write something and post with you in mind. (Note, I do not put a time limit on this ????).

Lovely piece, I really love the verses

"That way, you can wash over me,
Like an endless breath, hitchhiking to eternity."

It's calming, serene, full of yearning, and wonderfully written.

    Welcome to the site!
