Ode, to Night

by Love   Jul 5, 2020

Oh!
Darkest of night....
Have pity upon this broken down soul,
Which seems to pluck at these heart strings,
That turn onto itself,
The most saddest of melodramatic melodies.

Change the lyrics that have been composed;
Upon an already heavy, laden heart.
Morph into a cacophony of melding prose,
Just so I can again once feel,
The beauty of your delicate orchestra.

For I fear,
That within the beauty of your stars,
I may lose myself inside your obscurity...
And never again will I feel,
The presence of your majesty.

Because it is only you; truly-
Who can shine the brightest within me.
Even as the darkest night of the soul,
Cometh as a luring siren,
To reclaim the capture...
Of this broken down soul.
