Sleeping here like the dead
Wishing I were alive
What's left of me inside
All twisted and morbid
Dreaming of better days
Only end in more nightmares
I wish I could seize the day
But all I can do is sit here and pray

    Short but shows that desire for better times, and also that sense of helplessness. Sometimes, we can just wait and hope for it to get better, especially when things are out of our control or we don't have the immediate answers to sort out all the messy thoughts.
