Sleep Brings No Peace

I read quotes and stories
Looking for someone
Who can relate to me
To find the words that
I have been dying
For someone to hear
Some are so close
But then I find that
One that unravels
Everything else
They talk about sleep
How it creates a
Better life that they
Can live inside
It keeps them from
Committing a quite
Terrible, hurtful act
The problem is that
I don't have that
Escape to go to
Sleep is a nightmare
And so is the day
So what is the point
When nothing good
Can ever really stay
Whenever I find a reason
It's gone before I can
Find stable ground again
Will I ever really
Find the peace I'm
Earnestly looking for
Is it too late for me
Is there a reason anymore
Because I'm starting to
Doubt that there is
