Questionable view.

by Baffy Midmashie   Nov 29, 2020

A questionable view.

Pin hammered, weather tarnished,
a splash made of wax to claim as my own.
Reclaimed beach or a cherished anchor?

Dated and dusty, freedom entrapped,
glorious beauty transcending a death.
A fitting reflection of unhealthy admiration?

Stretched smooth, tucked taut,
a luminous happiness for comfort and smiles.
Childlike dancing to remind me of when?

Unfinished mix-up, hidden but seen,
potential, creation, frustration, boxed up.
A heap of shame or pride in vivid colour?

Familiar woodland creature friends,
a gift and a moment of joy as a pair.
Heavy wet puddle felt completes my sense of warmth!

Lump of earth, cracked holey clay,
small hands shaped a love into art.
Will the blue striped feather ever lose its delight?

Snap of a moment, premature age,
a lost angry youth radiating with love.
Are memories a burden or a tale to retell?

Mess and order, unappreciated claim,
a stark reminder of forgotten desires.
How will you remember to keep a mindful watch?
