Truly

by Kate   Dec 29, 2020

I play movie scenes of the two of us in my head when my mind should be in other places.
It’s strange how easily you take over my senses, seeing you in everyone’s faces.
Your coy little smile, the light brush of freckles that speckle your cheeks are just so sweet.
I can’t help the blush that keeps creeping up when I imagine the first time our lips meet.
Your laughter is the melody of my favorite song, one that I hum to myself all day.
It swims around my mind like a beautiful daydream and I keep hitting replay.
How I long for the day that we bump into each other: you apologize but I’m just fine.
And how the story will unfold thereafter: we fall in love, and I can truly call you mine.

This sounds like a lovely story just waiting to be played out! Nicely done.

    All the very best,
    Ben
