Twisted Rose Girl

by Baby Rainbow   Dec 31, 2020

You picked someone like me because I appeared soft and silent.
You were the one with the power,
and I fell into obeying your engulfing tone.
You wanted to shatter my life and break down any success,
killing me from the inside out, until I no longer wanted to live.

Your drastic mistake was not having a back up plan if you failed!

I never signed my body to you,
you own nothing of mine
and you do not own me!

I am unlocking my voice and surrendering my softness.
I am no longer holding hesitation or thinking of the consequences-
that is not my burden!

Your drastic mistake was trying to fold a star that was laminated with love!

You mistakenly misjudged how much this star was loved!
