Final Fight

by Baby Rainbow   Feb 13, 2021

What are you going to do
when the words you should not have said
cause an endless chill
that forever freezes our family?

You are becoming unrecognisable,
slipping further and further out of control,
and the louder the silence,
the more misery deafens us.

Times are changing
and your non-compliance means
that we are always at each others throats.

Love is strange,
but playing childish games is a slippery slope,
because the last ship has sailed,
leaving us abandoned on the island of evil
where a shattered family form battle lines,
prepared for the final fight.

This is so powerful that I got chills!!!

I’m reading through your poems, and the more I read the more it feels like I’m invading your privacy by reading your journal or diary or something. The fact that your sharing all this, is admirable!

But it’s really good to read your words again :)
