Tides of Fear

by Baby Rainbow   Feb 14, 2021

She has become a shattered mind hidden away,
praying for amnesia to stay,
so she doesn't have to keep building memories
into a glass wall,
watching my shadow trying to sink them
with every falling tear.

Wandering through the night in narrow streets of darkness,
haunted by her shadows,
shadows that have been chasing her for far too long.

Behind glazed eyes.
she rarely smiles,
and you can trust without a doubt,
that her eyes will never lie.

Standing at the back of life's stage,
living on the edge,
afraid her illusion collapses into the sea
where fear whispers within tides that drown her.
