Charlie Chaplin

by BOB GALLO   Apr 15, 2021

It was in the black and white of his magic
that all my childhood turned into the colour
of laughter’s and joy.

It was through his magic of laughter
I learned how to cry in shear innocence,
how incurable is unfair,
and
how far, a small man could walk with enormous shoes
wearing in his heart.

It was you
and always you
Charlie Chaplin
Sir.
