Freezin'

by Some Random Human   Oct 7, 2021

So, what's the point in holding on,
if you cannot find a reason,
well, I cannot find my reason,
or the air I should be breathin',
now I'm chokin', I'm a joke, and,
I have nothing to believe in,
you were once my warming sun,
now my heart has started freezin',

The winter came too soon,
it was the midst of June,
when you just left, such a theft,
'cause my heart went with you,
and now it should be spring,
but that don't mean a thing,
the cold wind blows, here comes the snow,
'cause you're not here with me,

So, what's the point in holding on,
if you cannot find a reason,
well, I cannot find my reason,
or the air I should be breathin',
now I'm chokin', I'm a joke, and,
I have nothing to believe in,
you were once my warming sun,
now my heart has started freezin',

My days just feel like nights,
like the ones when we'd just fight,
and I can't rest this aching chest,
now nothing here feels right,
so I'm calling you to say,
I wish that you'd just stay,
but you're not there, or you don't care,
you never answer anyway,

So, what's the point in holding on,
if you cannot find a reason,
well, I cannot find my reason,
or the air I should be breathin',
now I'm chokin', I'm a joke, and,
I have nothing to believe in,
you were once my warming sun,
now my heart has started freezin',

Like an ice cube in my chest,
slowly melting in regret,
soon I'm drowning in detest,
I just wish I could forget,

That there's no point in holding on,
if you cannot find a reason,
well, I never found my reason,
or the air I should be breathin',
now I'm chokin', I'm a joke, and,
I have nothing to believe in,
you were once my warming sun,
now my heart has finished freezin'...
