Thawing Clocks

by BOB GALLO   Oct 11, 2021

You love me now.
~Ticking clock, ticking clock~
You do not love me anymore

~Ticking clock ticking clock~
I am as crumbled as autumnal leaves

but
I am as young as the petals of springs also
~Ticking clock, ticking clock~
for they go away,
yet they're always coming back.

~Ticking clock, ticking clock~
Love you now and forever
for now, is eternal.

~Ticking clock, ticking clock~
either beating hearts are real
or ticking clocks,

omnipresence,
or distance.

~Dripping clocks, dripping clocks~
