Predator of Revenge

by Baby Rainbow   Dec 22, 2021

Can I wait right here,
so unafraid to hide my shadow beside the moon,
lurking behind the corner,
so you will never see me coming.
Without protection of your pack,
or your power,
you are suddenly a helpless ant,
and I see you in a whole different view.

Sometimes my thoughts are barely legal,
like stealing your life
would be as easy as stealing an item with no bar-code,
an item with minimal value
that will never be reported missing,
like a shriveled up apple tossed away in the street.

But then I realise that you take up too much of my time
with these thoughts,
and too much ink and paper.

So I will continue to wait right here,
unafraid to hide my shadow beside the moon,
waiting one more day won't hurt me.
