Non-beating Black Heart

by Baby Rainbow   Dec 22, 2021

When I was born,
I think my heart forgot
to open up and beat.

It's hard to remember who I was
before you buried me
in the darkness of black.

Some people call me a victim,
saying I didn't deserve
the hand that I got dealt.

But as a matter of fact,
I don't believe I was born discontented -
when I was born,
I was born with an non-beating black heart.
