Never Bottle-less

by Baby Rainbow   Dec 22, 2021

I know you don't think of me too often,
or if its even us you think about at all,
but how could you hurt her like this,
with your manipulative way with words.
I hope you hear her crying
through the walls you have now built.

Are you proud of who you have become,
to the mother that raised you
to be better than you currently are?

She has a strength that we will never know,
but she is not invincible
and she is not bulletproof from your pain.

It is not a question of guilt and blame,
but a matter of who has lied the most
and who has caused this irreversible heartache.

Did you think it would matter
that you flashed your money
to try and buy our forgiveness?

I don't want the night to end
when I become jealous of you,
just because you can forget
everything you want to
by drinking it all away.

Can I try to be clear
that I don't want to see you hurting,
but it is so hard to love someone
who is never bottle-less,
but always flooded by a poison
that changes who they are.

Don't you care at all
that by the end of the night,
she is the only one left with enough patience
to not walk away from loving you right now?
