Knocking Memories

by Baby Rainbow   Dec 22, 2021

Knock, knock;
your face at mind's door,
your voice echoing inside my heart
just like it did before.

Where did you hide for so long?
When did you decide walking away
was easier than trying to be strong?
Was it you or me who said something wrong?
Or were we just false all along?

So many things we said and done,
perhaps I knew I was pushing you away.
You were my everything to live for,
who suddenly vanished into a memory
by the end of the day.
