Would a soldier abandon his post
in his grinding fatigue
like the termite eating his flesh and muscles?

Would he say goodbye
to what he has stood for all these times
for those who are unknown to
the libation of his blood?

How long a soldier could go on
fighting against the foes
that are the minds of those
who he defends?

Would a forsaken soldier
forever forsake his fatigue,
for the sake of those
who ruthlessly abandoned him?
