Just A Little Me

by Lexie Lou   Jan 15, 2022

Drawing, writing, or taking naps…
Just a few things I like to do..
What no one seems to know, though…
Going out, doing things, wind in my hair;
Excitement in my face, going place to place..
It’s another favorite, but it’s our secret,
So you’ve got to keep quiet, shh…

Going and going really takes its toll,
In all honesty it does things to your body and mind..
That you never thought it could before…
Colors of maroon, burgundy, or sapphire on ice..
What an authentic feeling of meditating flight…

Such gentle touch, what gladiator strength..
What a wonder of a world, a cavern, which has been dreamt,
In and of its own mindset…
And with said mind-cavern, comes a great pond..
With the sweet taste of blackberries in thought,
Or the true feeling of self-love…

Seven, six, five..
Another 10 or so lines…

After anything or everything said,
All these thoughts, words, or images in my head..
It can be tiring and exhilarating all at the same time…
And time and time again, it’s all the same mine..
Mine to think and mine to say,
All these letters and spaces in different ways…
Sometimes it’s hard to find the right words,
Or sometimes even the right sayings..
But at the end of these endless any-days…
Sometimes it’s just better to say nothing..
