I'm a Disaster

by Karin Erlacher   Mar 9, 2022

Weird how I'm feeling
Like a switch of sorts
I guess we all have our type
No surprise you're mine and I'm yours

You ever look at someone
And then suddenly
They're the most beautiful thing
That you've ever seen?

Bent, broken, bleeding
Still nursing an open wound
Hurried stitches uneven
Need to keep my heart cocooned

Can't shatter
If I don't matter
Yet here I sit
Heart pitter-patter
Yearning for you
Rationality scatters

Another sleepless night
Sitting here alone in my bed
Hopelessly wondering
Why I can't get you out of my head

Like I can't even think
When you're next to me
When you look at me
When you're holding me

I'm a disaster.
Be my master?
