Rainbow

by Obscure   Jun 7, 2022

The rainbow won't remember two blind searching fools
Who grasped at prisms, thinking they'd be golden
It won't remember how it led them to the sea and urged them "jump"
It gave them hope that other worlds were there to conquer
When all that waited under cliffside meant a soon destruction
And their bodies floated, bloated in the solemn lonely waves
