Through the Cages

by BOB GALLO   Jun 25, 2022

Everything is packaged in the prison of time
until it grows soul,
to break through the chain of time
that the clock hands
entwines loop after loop
to enfold and enchain immortality.

The penumbra of tick and tock
stretched to eternality of its own,
to timelessly
blockade timelessness.

Time impedes thoughts,
the thoughts, inks,
and the inks, the blank silence
which enfolds the infinity.

Poetry, that flames through
these enthrallment bars,
to reach out to united souls,
like a bird's heart,
through the cage,
into the infinite
blue
liberty.
