Nightmaria

by Shaun Cronick   Jul 8, 2022

In the dark domain of Nightmaria,
Nothing truly is as what it seems.
What many perceive as a fantasy,
Are held captive within dire dreams.

A nightmare cocooned in a dream,
A dream sheathed in a nightmare.
Both paradoxes of equal measure,
In Nightmaria identities are laid bare.

All think they can cut through,
Its dense forests of confusion.
Returning to earth's astral plane,
An escape that is pure illusion.

Once held in Nightmaria's clutches,
It deafly ignores every pitiful plea.
All lost souls never sleep again,
For only dreams can set them free.
