Father of Life

by Jesusfreak   Jul 14, 2004

Darkness surrounds as a baby cries out to deaf ears,
Looking for even one that will listen.
Left all alone, abandoned,
No one cares about this young, tender soul, this unborn baby.
Only a mass of tissue, they say, the embryo will not feel a thing.
Embryo, fetus, Spirit, its all the same to them.
Not even human yet, they say, convincing the pregnant woman to terminate.
No consequences other than those of the mother are even considered.
What will become of the soul not yet filled and the life not yet lived?
A few short moments and-
Gone, disappeared, vanished.
No longer a child in the mothers future, her aim is accomplished.
But what of the baby, what of a life?

It is raised to the Heavens, Greeted there by the One who truly cares.
Hope, love, and security of life are found
As the child meets its Creator,
The true Father of Life.

That is really good, there are a lot of poems about abortion i even have one but this is different. It is original and not like the others. Good job, actually the poem i wrote was for a school project to. It was for my psychology class. This poem usually has pictures for it, i put a healthy, living baby and pictures of some aborted babies and asked "what does your baby look like?", well good job. thank you for the comments on my poems.
