Sunshine in the winter

by WAH   Nov 16, 2022

In a bleak winter,
wilted tree flutter
In freezing cold temperature.
The earth slumbers in snowy blanket,
All the colours have faded.

The sun hides in the clouds,
can't feel the warmth,
nor its brightness.

Holding a cup of coffee,
taking a sip,
it's insipid and cold.

The wind keeps blowing,
blowing into my heart,
and my heart is ice-cold.
It hurts.

Til I met you,
The smile on your face,
Thaw my heart and keep me warm.
