Let's See How It Ends

by Kips2.0   Apr 2, 2023

Let's see how it ends,
The dance of young hearts,
As they step into the fray,
And play the game of love's art.

In the beginning, it's all rainbows and sunshine,
The world is new, and love is divine,
But soon the cracks begin to show,
As the young hearts start to grow.

The relationship turns toxic,
A poison seeping through their veins,
And yet they cling to the hope,
That love will overcome all pains.

They stay together, through thick and thin,
Ignoring the signs, not wanting to give in,
Hoping that love will find a way,
To fix the mess they've made each day.

But the toxicity grows, and the pain intensifies,
And still, they hold on, courtesy of their soul ties,
Until one day, they wake up and realize,
That the heartaches are not worth the prize.

Let's see how it ends,
The dance of young hearts,
As they learn the lessons of love,
And heal the wounds of broken parts.

For love is not meant to hurt,
Or to cause pain and distress,
It's meant to lift us higher,
And make us feel our best.

So let's break free from toxic ties,
And seek the love that heals and thrives;
Our hearts seem bound, so let's see with open eyes,
For life is too short to waste on lies.

Hi there, this is such a beautiful write, I love the phrasing throughout, hit pretty close to home I have to say. I find poetry has a way of creeping in front in front of me just at the right time. Great poem. Regards Ink
