A rounding curve

by Skyfire   Jun 30, 2023

You told me again
and again
what you liked about
my figure -
flat stomach,
slender legs,
round ass.
"Nice and tight,"
You approved.

After all,
that's what you see
on all the ads
in all the poses
in everyone else's eyes.

And now that I'm
long grown out of
teenage years
I think
I've never known what
a woman is supposed
to look like.

I've never appreciated
the beauty
of two soft thighs,
curving hips,
a rounding belly.
Of tender eyes
and gentle fingers -

I think that now
I will try something new.

It sounds like real beauty may well be found through acceptance. I hope trying something new gives you the rewards such bravery deserves.
