My youth worn down by choices
That grasp me 'round the throat
And I hold your love at bay
Just in case I cannot cope

I hide away in cages
And at night I cannot sleep
I try to cover up my thoughts
So no one can hear me weep

Deny myself humanity
As if it were a sin
It's odd, a single touch from you
Sends shivers down my skin
