Salem

by Synful   Nov 5, 2023

The cobblestone ground
Wavered more than me,
As we walked throughout
Historical beauty.
Her smile and laughs
Reinforced gleeful thoughts
That shone like glass
Within my anxiety's vine-like knots.
No nervous ticks,
No anxious fidgets,
Just clarity and happiness
Amongst the divine spirits.
She needn't touch me,
Nor look in my direction,
For her presence to ease
The need for self-protection.

With a muffled sigh
And a hug goodbye,
I am left to ponder
And revel in wonder -

Our day in Salem.
