Dear Mother

by Errol Mondell   Feb 4, 2024

When I open the door
You are no longer there
The chair where you sat
Is empty and bare.

Now that you are gone
It won't be the same
Your laughter, your voice
I will no longer hear

You taught me right from wrong
Because of you, I became a better man
You encourage me to be strong
As you held my hands

We had so much fun through the years
As we laugh and shed happy tears
These are the times I will not forget
For I will always hear you say!
"Son, Don't fret"

The Lord has called you home
To be with him next to his throne.
One day I will see you again
Have fun in heaven; until then!

Mom, I will love you always and forever.
