Heart full of greed

by Eddie Hoyte   Mar 20, 2024

In the shadows, where darkness feeds,
Lies a tale of souls with desperate needs.
A mouth full of rotten, a heart full of greed,
In the depths of desire, they plant their seed.

Their words like poison, dripping with deceit,
They dance in the darkness, where lies retreat.
With silver tongues, they weave their web,
Entrapping the innocent, with promises dead.

But beneath the facade, a sorrowful sight,
For in their emptiness, there is no light.
Their riches and power, but hollow shells,
As loneliness consumes, in their private hells.

Yet still, amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope,
For even the darkest hearts can learn to cope.
With kindness and love, they may find their way,
To redemption's embrace, where shadows sway.

So let us not judge, but extend our hand,
To those lost in the darkness, in need of a friend.
For within every soul, there's a flicker of light,
A chance for redemption, a path to ignite.
